| Personal History | Adam was born on January 23, 2362 in Munich, Germany the home of his mother’s family. His father Jim was the commanding officer of the U.S.S. Specter, an Excelsior Class starship during the Dominion War while his mother, Dr. Veronica Anne Keller Fletcher worked at the local hospital. Growing up as the middle child of three boys proved an interesting challenge as all three constantly had to outshine each other. When he was 10 years old the Dominion War began which meant his father would be constantly away from the family. The worst happened in 2375 when his father’s ship was lost with all hands during the Battle of Cardassia. In 2380, he followed his brother into Starfleet Academy. He worked on his studies tirelessly dual majoring in Tactics and Operations. After graduation in 2384, he earned a spot at Starfleet Tactical working on the project to rebuild and manage Starfleet’s defensive operations after the Dominion War. They were also tasked with analyzing Starfleet’s failures during the war so Starfleet could adapt to the changing geopolitical climate. After almost three years, he sought a space assignment for some adventure and romance, finding both on the U.S.S. Scimitar, a Diligent-class starship assigned to Epsilon Force. The Scimitar was tasked with containing rough Romulan forces in the wake of the break up of the Romulan Star Empire. In 2387, Adam became involved with Abigail Halesworth, the Scimitar’s Chief Medical Officer. Before long Abi became pregnant. They decided marriage was the best course of action for them and their child. Their son William Robert Fletcher was born on March 24, 2388. Near the end of 2387, the Scimitar was destroyed during a rebel attack on a neutral space station. After shuffling from Starbase to Starbase for several months, Adam was assigned to the U.S.S. Ticonderoga under Captain Brian Anderson to serve as Chief Strategic Operations Officer. During this assignment Adam coordinated both relief efforts and fleet tactical operations as Epsilon Force continued to deal with the breakup of the Romulan Star Empire. Starfleet worked closely with the Klingon Defense Forces to maintain order in the region. In 2390, Adam was promoted to Lieutenant Commander. After the Ticonderoga was severely damaged during a skirmish with Romulan Forces, the crew was reassigned to the U.S.S. Valley Forge, a new Vesta-class starship except Adam. After years of space duty, Adam came full circle longing for a planetside or starbase duty to make family life much easier. The opportunity of an assignment on Starbase Frontier was too good to pass up. |
