| General Overview | Tadao Yoshikawa can best be described as a polite, but otherwise quiet and insecure individual. Having grown up alongside two over-achieving brothers, he's always felt both physically and socially inadequate by comparison, and these insecurities have lasted with him pretty much as long as he can remember. At the same time, he doesn't want to come off as a Debbie Downer to others, so he buries his insecurities under a facade of modest congeniality- friendly enough that no one would ever suspect anything malicious out of him, but at the same time not outgoing enough to leave a long-lasting impression. With a recent job opportunity that's presented itself at Starbase Frontier, however, Tadao's slowly reconsidering his priorities. The Commanding Officer of the Station is none other than unrequited love from his past- the "perfect girl" that got away. Now that his passion's been rekindled, he's finally working up the courage to approach her, and- presuming he's not too late- ask her out. He has already anticipated the possibility that she may be taken, which would evidently be a considerable blow to his morale, but he's old enough now that he could (at the very least) settle with the prospect of being good friends. |

| Personal History | Tadao Yoshikawa was born April 7, 2362, as the third and youngest child of Japanese realtor Minoru Yoshikawa and his wife Ren. Growing up, he was often overshadowed by his older brothers, Kentaro and Riku, with the former possessing the athletic prowess and larger-than-life personality to earn himself a spot on his high school's football team, and the latter having the intellect to be consistently elected as Student Council President from 7th grade all the way through high school. Though he was evidently proud of his older brothers, their charisma and over-achieving nature set something of a high bar for Tadao- one he felt required an inhuman amount of perfection in order to stand out. To this end, he kept something of a low profile throughout elementary school; he got along well enough with other kids, but was always considered something of a loner, and never really fit into their respective social circles, much to his eternal chagrin. |
