Starbase Frontier is visited by aliens from the far outer reaches of the Beta Quadrant. The Sonno. Eager to make a first contact, Captain Izumi allows them to visit the Starbase and discovers that the Sonno are eager to open trade with both The Federation and Klingon Empire.

However, the Sonno have a strange biological affect on the crew of the station. The crew find themselves not being able to fall asleep regardless of how tired they are! Now the crew have to find a way to keep themselves from being tired, or find a way to fall asleep so the trade talks can begin!

In 2396, Starfleet and the Klingon Defence Force launch a new joint endeavour. To build and run a Starbase on the very edge of The Pytonia Passage, an area of unexplored space nestled between them and the Tholian Assembly. Starfleet assigned Captain Kagami Izumi to take command of the Starbase and its garrison ship the USS Kingfisher.

Now with Construction nearly finished, the new crew of Starbase Frontier come aboard to start their new assignments.

Lockdown

Its been a few weeks since Starbase Frontier opened its doors. The main galleria has become a center of trade and business as many new civilian shops and traders flock to the starbase. This has attracted attention from its neighbours, mainly the Tholian Assembly.

The Tholian's send a diplomatic party to Starbase Frontier to discuss possible trade and border agreements. However just as Captain Izumi and Commander Tormek are preparing for the meeting, the entire station goes into Quarantine Lockdown.

Blockade

The Starship USS Okinawa has suddenly gone silent whilst en route to Starbase Frontier. The Okinawa was tasked with ferrying supplies and cargo to the starbase from the Federation. The last report was that the ship was under attack and has then fallen silent.

Captain Izumi decides to go locate the Okinawa. What she finds is disturbing. The Okinawa was destroyed by Klingon weapon's fire. An old house of the Klingon Empire reappears, and announces that they will blockade any Federation or Klingon ship attempting to reach Starbase Frontier until their honour and place on the High Council can be restored.
